When anxious Milo rings the doorbell of Shock City castle on a dare, he’s startled when monster kid Sunny flings the door open and labels herself Milo’s new BFF. But when Sunny learns Milo’s family is about to leave the crumbling town for good, she drags him out on a late night adventure to spruce up Shock City and convince everyone to stay. If only it were that easy.
Sunny quickly learns that her grandfather, Great Darkness Von Shock, was not the revered benefactor she believed him to be, but actually the cause of all the hideous mad science damage in town. Can Sunny fix Shock City and her family’s reputation before she loses her first real friend forever?

Milo and Sunny may have saved Shock City and its citizens from ruin, but that doesn’t mean everything is peachy. As the town continues to deal with the aftermath of Grandpa’s reign of terror, a new team of instigators arises: hotheaded brothers they lovingly refer to as the Diaper Twins. They lead the town in blaming Sunny and her parents for all the issues Shock City still faces.
These guys are infuriating! Milo and Sunny’s zombie pal Becky convinces them to blow off some steam by playing a few harmless pranks on the twins. Little do Milo and Sunny know Becky’s setting her own plans in motion, plotting to bring back an old friend even more sinister than ol’ Darkness Von Shock himself.

The children’s picture book that started it all! IT’S NOT SCARY! is about a happy little monster kid named Sunny who’s desperate to make friends with a normal scared human boy, Milo.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Aaron Alexovich started his art career drawing gross little guys for Nickelodeon's Invader Zim. Since then, he's split his time between animation character design and writing and/or drawing a whole mess of horror books, including Serenity Rose, Stitched, Eldritch! and It's Not Scary!
Aaron grew up under six feet of snow in Chicago, Illinois, but currently lives with his wife, Ami, and two cats in Pasadena, California, where the bright light makes him sneeze for mysterious reasons.
